This qualification is for those who work in an education and training environment in a senior role, who are looking to develop their skills and knowledge.

This qualification provides an introduction to teaching and aims to meet the needs of a range of teachers, such as:

- Individuals not currently in a teaching or training role.

- Individuals currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training).

- Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.

The qualification will be assessed using a range of methods. This could include a portfolio of evidence, Coursework, E-assessment, Oral Examination, Practical Demonstration/Assignment, Task-based Controlled Assessment.
