Health and Social Care Assessor

We are seeking multiskilled health and social care assessors with subject knowledge and experience in the subjects you assess. We need an enthusiastic assessor with at least 1 year experience in Adult Care. Our teaching is now delivered online so the role will be largely home based. A track record of delivering teaching in a workshop setting would be an advantage.
You will be qualified to level 5 in Health & Social Care and will have a teaching qualification, ideally at Level 5 but we will consider those qualified to Level 3. A nursing qualification will also be an advantage.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Assessors qualification
Experience in creating schemes of work and lesson plans
Experience in working against the new standards
Possess qualifications and occupational competence required to deliver advertised job
Ability to ‘make time’ for the learners and ensure timely completion
Dedicated to constructive and timely feedback including reviews
Awareness of the new education inspection framework
You should be assessor qualified, enthusiastic, motivated, encouraging and learner-centred.

Job Description: Health and Social Care Assessor

Level: 1 to 5

Contract Type: Freelance or Part time positions available.

Remuneration: depending on experience and skills set.

Working Pattern: 2-3 days per week, Mon-Sun (days can be flexible).

Location: London with some opportunities to deliver online.

Responsible to: Managing Director 

Purpose of Post: The role is to deliver Health and Social Care courses Level 1 to 5

Role and responsibilities:
Inspire, motivate and raise aspirations of learners through your enthusiasm and knowledge
Be creative and innovative in selecting and adapting strategies to help learners to learn
Receive and act on feedback from internal and external verifiers
Safeguard the welfare of all learners, preventing radicalisation and promoting British Values
Maintain and update knowledge of your subject and/or vocational area
Maintain and update your knowledge of educational research to develop evidence- based practice
Manage and promote positive learner behaviour
Motivate and inspire learners to promote achievement and develop their skills to enable progression
Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment
Address the English needs of learners and work creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning
Enable learners to share responsibility for their own learning and assessment, setting goals that stretch and challenge
Apply appropriate and fair methods of assessment, and provide constructive and timely feedback to support progression and achievement
Travel to a variety of locations to coach learners at their place of work
Carry out risk assessments on employer premises, where needed
Carry out onsite/online coaching, which includes but not limited to, Learning and Development Reviews, review action plans, undertake observations and assessment of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, provide constructive feedback and build a portfolio of evidence as part of their programme of study to ensure successful achievement and support learners personal and professional development
